Career talk at Politeknik Sultan Azlan Shah, Behrang

On 20 August 2009, CTIM Perak Deputy Branch Chairman, Mr Lam Weng Keat delivered a career talk to 150 final year semester students pursuing accountancy course at Politeknik Sultan Azlan Shah, Behrang in conjunction with its “Accountancy Day 2009” . The Deputy Branch Chairman gave an overview of the role and function of CTIM, the various routes to become a CTIM member, types of membership and the benefits of CTIM membership amongst others.

He also shared his experience, knowledge and views of the taxation profession and stressed the importance of maintaining professional values and integrity when they are CTIM members. Finally, the students were strongly encouraged to pursue their career in taxation and to apply for CTIM membership upon fulfilling the necessary requirements.

Sin Chew Daily - 10 July 2009


CTIM Perak Branch made it into Sin Chew Daily on 10 July 2009 with the announcement of its new committee for the year 2009/2010. The Branch Chairman, Mr Loo Thin Tuck briefed on the upcoming activities planned, which include the Northern Region Tax Forum, Annual Dinner and Dialogues with the Inland Revenue Department and Customs. He also took the opportunity to introduce the CTIM Examinations with the objective of training and building a pool of qualified tax personnel to address the shortage of qualified tax practitioners in the country.

Welcome to CTIM Perak Information Board!!

CTIM Perak had its first committee meeting on Monday, 6 July 2009.

The newly appointed Branch Chairman, Mr Loo Thin Tuck, welcomed and introduced the committee members for the year 2009/2010 as follows:-

Various departments were set up with each committee member taking a department. Among activities planned are the Northern Region Tax Forum, annual dinner, dialogues with Inland Revenue and Customs.
